Increasing with time, and more than ever before, digital records are being stored for mostly everything that we do. As described in the Freedom of Information Act, many of these records are deemed to be public record, while other records are deemed as private. However, the line between public and private is not so clear sometimes. In many cases, it depends on who is asking for the records, who they are asking for the records, which state they are asking for the records in, and most importantly, which type of record they are asking for.
